Ten Years.
As of this day, I’ve officially been the pastor of The Hills Church for ten years. TEN YEARS! God has truly blessed my family and me over the past decade and I invite you to check on the short video message I’ve posted to mark the occasion.
Judges: Excuses
The Book of Judges is a collection of repetitive and ever worsening stories of Israel as a young nation. It’s easy to read these stories and criticize Israel for their seemingly endless excuses, but we’re no different. As we kick off this new series, we do so while seeing just how much our lives reflect the “dumpster fire” we find in the biblical text and the ways in qhich God repeatedly restores despite our repeated faults.
Things Jesus Never Said: Forgive & Forget
Forgiveness is a foundation issue within the Christian faith. Jesus, in particular, had a lot to say on the matter. But one thing you’ll never hear Him say is to “forgive & forget.” That’s not only non-biblical, it’s more or less impossible…

Things Jesus Never Said: People Get What They Deserve
“People get what they deserve.” “They’ll get what’s coming for them.” Karma is a…” well, you know the rest. These are things so many Christians say over and over again, but they’re not biblical whatsoever. Jesus never said them, that’s for sure. He did, however, address this issue repeatedly throughout His ministry…
Things Jesus Never Said: God will never give you more than you can handle
Few things frustrate me more than hearing otherwise faithful Christians repeat the line, “God will never give you more than you can handle.” In this sermon we explore just how false and dangerous this statement truly is…
The Power of Music.
There’s power in music. It can set the scene. It can heighten or reduce the drama. It can transport us to another time and place. It even has the power to calm the most anxious of nerves.
