The Real Lord’s Prayer: Glory to God
It’s been a minute since I’ve uploaded and shared a recent sermon. My apologies for the lack of content. What better time to start again than with the launch of a new teaching series. This series, “The REAL Lord’s Prayer,” is a review of the prayer of Jesus as recorded in John 17. Unlike the teaching tool Jesus offered in Matthew 6 and Luke 11, the words of John 17 are the actual words Jesus prayed to God hours before he was crucified and died. The language of the prayer is not only beautiful, it’s quite insightful as it reflects the intimacy Jesus shared with His Heavenly Father. It’s that intimacy with God in prayer we also seek as we reflect on this passage of scripture over the next few weeks.
In the first message of this series, we consider the prayers context, Jesus’s posture toward God throughout it and His opening words.
