The REAL Lord’s Prayer: Mission Focus

We continued the short, three-part series, “The REAL Lord’s Prayer,” with a second message reflecting on Jesus’ famous prayer recorded in John 17. Unlike the teaching tool Jesus offered in Matthew 6 and Luke 11, the words of John 17 are the actual words Jesus prayed to God hours before he was crucified and died. The language of the prayer is not only beautiful, it’s quite insightful as it reflects the intimacy Jesus shared with His Heavenly Father. It’s that intimacy with God in prayer we also seek as we reflect on this passage of scripture over the next few weeks.

In the second message of this series, we consider Jesus’ words as he prayers for His immediate disciples and mission to which Jesus was sending them.
