Stranger Things: Valley of Dry Bones

Ghost stories. Haunted Houses. Demon possessions. Exorcisms. Witches. Skeletons. The dead rising from the grave. Mysterious lights in the sky. Giants in the woods. The world can be a mighty strange place, full of otherworldly and, often times, creepy stories. But did you know the Bible is full of stories like these, too?

While most churches refuse to even mention the word “Halloween,” let alone consider the many themes and ideas embraced and celebrated during this time of the year, my church, The Hills Church, and I are committing an entire teaching series to it called “Stranger Things.” Over the next few weeks we’re going to consider some of the strangest, weirdest, and most mysterious stories in the Bible.

In this third and final message in the series, we reflect on the prophetic vision given to the prophet Ezekiel of a valley of dry bones, taking on flesh, and coming back to life.
