Good Question! Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?

The Bible emphasizes the family as essential for a healthy life and a healthy society. Why then did Jesus seem dismissive of his mother and brothers? Why did he ask the crowd "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" Why did Jesus say one must "hate his father and mother" in order to be his disciple? We discuss the way Jesus transformed the concept of family and the value he placed on the family of God in this week's entry into the "Good Question!" series.
