How are you doing? No. Seriously. You doing alright? Because it’s okay if you’re not. Not enough people acknowledge that, especially on social media. You don’t need to have it all together. In fact, it’d be a relief if more of us acknowledged that we’re just doing all we can to keep the ship afloat at times. Sometimes that’s precisely where I’m at and it has taken me nearly 4 decades (nearly...not quite there yet) to figure out that’s okay. All that matters is that you take the next step, no matter how small it might be. Just take the next step. I know the world is loud and chaotic. I often find a way to be loud and chaotic right along with it. But, in those quiet moments, know that you’re appreciated and valued, even in those less than perfect moments...especially in those moments. If you need a friend, reach out. I have the time and the whiskey to share (if that’s your thing...if not, that’s cool too). Just know you have a friend in me. Seriously. Yes, even those of you creeping on this post right now. Never hesitate to reach out whenever you need a sounding board. It won’t be ignored. I promise. Grace and peace.
