Kia wouldn’t have to market the Soul at all for me to want to buy one. It’s a great vehicle, with a fantastic price tag. But, another fun hamster commercial is always welcome in my book!

Saying I am not much of a landscaper is a gross understatement. When we purchased this house, we knew it needed work…a little sweat equity. Our first year owning the property we focused exclusively on the interior (gutted and remodeled the main bathroom and kitchen, tore out unnecessary walls, amongst other odds and ends). This year, our second in the house, we’ve been working on the exterior. So far, we’ve dug up the front yard, flattened out areas where tree roots caused irregularities, relaid the french drain on the right side of the property, rebuilt the front wall, dug out five large holes for newly planted Dwarf English Boxwoods, spread mulch, re-seeded the lawn, and topped it all off with some new flowers in front of the window. Much of the work can be seen in the photos below. I’m still not much of a landscaper, but I think we’ve done a “not half bad” job on this one. The backyard’s going to be another story….ugh!

In honor of the official start of spring (not actually until Sunday, but the forecast predicts it’ll actually be warmer today…so my spring begins today) I decided to create a fresh new look for the blog. It might change again, depending on my mood who knows. The beauty of a free wordpress account is that you can change the overall look and feel of your website at the drop of a time. No programming, no HTML, no flash. Just choose the style you want, click and it’s there. Hope you like it.
Greetings!
I’ve started this blog to serve as a personal outlet for my thoughts, experiences, reflections, and ideas that do not fit else where. If you’re wondering if this “Tom Fodi” is the same Tom Fodi from focusedonthepoint.com or Tom Fodi from Emmanuel Christian Church – it is! The only difference between what will be posted here rather than the previously noted outlets is that everything posted here are my personal views and do not represent the views and/or opinions of ECC or FOTP. If you feel like following me, great! If not, I understand. Either way, thanks for wandering by!
