The law can do one thing and one thing only, point out our failures and our brokenness. Even if those failures are mistakes, even if those failures are unintentional, even if it was a one time thing we will surely never repeat, the law gives no room for context or understanding. The law can only say, “You’re guilty!”
That’s why God made a way for grace. Grace restores what the law can never achieve. Grace restores our humanity.
