A few weeks ago I began a teaching series with the new church project I’m leading called “We Believe.” Through this series we are exploring some of the most basic, core tenets of the Christian faith. Most followers of Jesus struggle when asked questions like, “What do you really believe?” “Who is Jesus?” “Who/What is the Holy Spirit?” “Why did Jesus have to die on the cross?” “What’s the point of the church?” It’s questions like these that the early church leaders and theologians sought to answer when they wrote the “Nicene Creed.”
Using the Nicene Creed as a “cliff notes guide to our faith,” we’re answering these difficult, yet vital questions behind the Christian faith. The video below was the talk I offered this past Sunday concerning the question, “Why was Jesus crucified?” I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to offer feedback!
